I’m in the process of building a forum that those of us who are disenfranchised from or just plain pissed off at SG can continue to communicate without having to submit to the whims of the SG mods.  You will have to submit to my whims, however.  That basically means no trolls allowed, and dickheads will be swiftly and permenantly banned.  MUAHAHAHAHA!

It’s still in “beta”, so come on over and mess around with it while we all figure it out.

This is an email I received from Bald Eagle. I have reposted it here, with his permission, instead of in my SG blog, for fear of retribution from the mods, who have seem to lost their minds.

I didn’t want to disappear without anyone knowing what happened, and I would like to stay in touch.

When I finally got around to checking my e-mail this morning, I had a message from SG that my account had expired. That was confusing, since I was sure it was on auto-renew. But since it’s November 1st, and I go from October to October, I allowed for the possibility that there had been a glitch. I got out my credit card and followed the link to renew.

It wouldn’t let me renew, but kept inviting me to open a new membership. After several tries, I decided to visit the site and see what was going on. By this time I was beginning to suspect what had happened.

Sure enough, I was gone altogether. I don’t even seem to show up as zotted, like Zarth and others do, in the friends lists of my friends. So far as I could tell in a brief check, all of my comments have been deleted. The last time I saw this happen was when Oyaji left the site, which I understood to be voluntary.

Some of you may have seen the sharp criticisms I raised against the so-called “improvements” in the site. Apparently I hit a little too close to home when I said that it would have been nice if members had been asked beforehand what features they wanted, or if the new stuff could have been tested to the point where it would actually work before implementation.

I received no warning, nor have I ever received a warning on the site. I used no bad language (to my knowledge I have never used bad language on the site), and I didn’t call anyone any names.

Bean claimed to welcome criticism in one of his comments on the “recent activity” thread. Yeah, right.

I have no interest in returning to the site. My purposes in writing this are to let my friends know what happened, and to request that we stay in touch. And if anyone whose e-mail address I don’t have should inquire, please give them my e-mail address and pass along my request that they contact me.

Your friendships are the only thing that was ever important to me at SG. If I can keep those, I will be very happy.

So our fearless leader has completed his second fellatio fest at the lavish estates of the kings of Saudi Arabia, our mostest friendliest Middle-East allies and SUV enablers. Georgie is on his knees again for the second time this year at the behest of millions of unfortunately endowed Hummer drivers, as many of them can no longer afford Viagra, Minixodil, and gasoline. After pleasing his Saudi friends, what did our lapdog-in-chief accomplish? Nothing, Nada, Zilch. The Saudi’s have already increased production by 300,000 barrels a day, and say this is “sufficient to supply current demand”. They plan no further increase. How’s that 3rd mortgage coming to fill your Cadillac Pick-up ?

IDK, maybe Oil Company profits, arms manufacturer profits, increased military spending when it was previously being reduced, private security firms taking over rolls performed the military and police… Who personally profits the most from these companies? Could it be? Maybe….

The upside to this is that people are driving less, buying more fuel efficient vehicles, and looking for alternatives to a mineral sludge that’s in ever dwindling supply. Alternative energy sources are becoming more affordable. Seems like high oil prices were the best thing the planet could hope for.

I need to check my email more often. I left a post this morning calling UpTightwad a troll, then it was gone when I got home. So did another one. Then it was gone. I checked my email and found that I had been “warned” and my comments removed. I was told, that although he is a troll, in that particular thread he was not being a troll, I was. I strongly disagree. I was also threatened with the Zot. OH NOES!!!! Well, it’s their site, I guess they can do what they want. It’s becoming blatantly obvious to me that the “alt” on the site is in name only. It’s just another corporation. Oh well.

I actually try to post some funny, interesting, creative shit once in a while and I can’t get anything past a couple pages, then this n00b comes in, acts like a complete douche, and between his two idiotic rambling piece of shit threads, he has more pages than all my shit put together.  The site seems to be thriving on a steady diet of n00b and tr0ll lately.  Anyone know where Zarth is hanging out in cyberspace these days?  I’m getting depressed hanging out here.

I mean, srsly, wtf? I mean, um, redundancy, backup servers, um, scalable architecture. Any of this sound familiar the SG IT staff? Shit, my personal cheap-azz web hosting almost never goes down. Maybe 1/2 hr total last year, if that.

I’ve lived in Florida for almost 15 years, and I’ve seen the shuttle go up a few times.  You can see it very clearly, even from here on the West Coast.  I’ve never seen or heard it come down, until tonight.  The sonic boom was very loud, and shook my house.  My neighbor came running out of his house looking freaked out.  They just moved here from a not so nice area.   I told him it was the shuttle and he was all right.  We could actually see it for a couple minutes, a glowing blob moving almost directly away from us.  I rate that a 9.5 on the Geek Cool Scale.  A 10 could only be achieved by actually being at the Cape right next to the runway.

I got my own blog!

I decided to start my own blog, because I wanted a place where I wouldn’t be censored by anybody else’s interests, whether they be financial, political, artistic or religious. So, be prepared to possibly be offended. Trolls will have their asses mercilessly handed to them with no mercy or remorse. Strap in, it’s bound to be bumpy. Or completely boring. We’ll see.
